3D Secure when clients save a card

Optional bank verification at card save, controlled in your Settings.

3D Secure, often shown as 3DS, is a bank check such as "approve this in your banking app" or a one-time code. It helps stop stolen cards at the moment a client saves a payment method.

In Crewty, go to Settings, then Payments, then 3D Secure (card on file) and choose:

After a successful 3DS check at save time, monthly or per-job auto-charges usually do not ask for a code again. Banks can still require a fresh check occasionally, and when they do, the client simply re-confirms through a secure link.

Because client job payments and any chargebacks settle on your Stripe account, Crewty recommends leaving 3D Secure on Always and enabling Stripe Radar in your Stripe Dashboard. Turning it off is your choice and your risk (see Fraud, chargebacks, and your responsibility).
