Fraud, chargebacks, and your responsibility

How liability works when you take payments on your own Stripe.

When you accept client payments through Crewty, charges run on your Stripe account. That makes you the merchant of record for those payments.

In practice, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and Stripe fees for those charges are your responsibility, not Crewty's. Staff who only receive payouts are not the card merchant, so this does not fall on them either.

You can lower your risk a lot:

Crewty's own subscription, meaning the software fee you pay us, is billed separately on Crewty's Stripe account and is not part of your client payment flow.
