Crewty Partner Terms

The short version

You earn 35% of what everyone you refer pays Crewty, every month, for as long as they stay a paying customer. Commission clears 30 days after each payment, and is paid out once you have earned at least $50.

1. Joining

Apply on the partners page. We review every application by hand, usually within a couple of days. If you are approved we create your account, assign your referral link, and email it to you. We may decline an application without giving a reason.

2. Your referral link

You are given one link. Somebody who arrives at Crewty through it is attributed to you for 60 days. If they start a Crewty subscription in that window, they are your referral.

Attribution is decided once, on first touch, and does not move afterwards. If somebody arrives through your link and later through another partner's, the first link wins for the life of that account.

You may not refer yourself, anyone at your own business, or accounts you control. You may not bid on Crewty's brand name in paid search, impersonate Crewty, promise anything on our behalf, or promote the link through spam, unsolicited email or misleading claims.

3. What you earn

You earn 35% of the amount actually charged on each of your referral's Crewty subscription payments. If they use a discount, the commission follows the discounted amount, because it follows what we were paid.

Free trials pay nothing, because nothing has been charged. You start earning on their first real payment.

Commission is on Crewty subscription payments only. It is not a share of what your referral earns from their own customers.

There is no cap and no end date. Commission continues for as long as that referral keeps paying.

4. When you are paid

Each commission is held for 30 days after the payment it came from. The hold exists so that a refund or dispute can be settled before money leaves our account.

After the hold, the commission is ready to be paid. Payouts are sent once your cleared balance reaches $50. Below that it rolls over and accumulates.

Payment is by transfer to a Stripe account you connect from your partner dashboard. Setting it up takes a few minutes. If you already use Stripe for something else, this is a separate account created for your partner earnings and does not affect your existing one.

We cannot pay you until that account is connected and Stripe has finished verifying it. Anything you have earned in the meantime is kept and paid once you are set up.

Payouts are sent in Canadian dollars. If your Stripe account is in another currency, Stripe converts the payment when it arrives and applies its own conversion and cross-border fees, so the amount you receive will be slightly lower than the figure shown on your dashboard.

5. Refunds, disputes and reversals

If a payment your commission came from is refunded or disputed, that commission is reversed.

If it has not been paid out yet, it is simply removed and no money changes hands. If it has already been paid to you, the amount is deducted from your future earnings. Card disputes can be raised months after a payment, so this can happen after a payout.

If a dispute is later resolved in our favour, the commission is restored.

6. Ending the arrangement

Either of us can end this at any time. You can stop promoting Crewty whenever you like, and we can close a partner account at any time, including for anything in section 2.

If we close your account for a breach of these terms, unpaid commission may be withheld. Otherwise, anything you have properly earned remains owed and is paid on the normal schedule.

Closing your partner account does not affect any Crewty subscription you have as a customer, and cancelling a subscription does not affect your partner account. They are separate.

7. Tax

You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. We do not withhold. Stripe collects the tax details it needs during onboarding, and may issue tax forms where the law requires it.

8. Changes

We may change these terms, including the commission rate, the hold period and the payout minimum. Changes apply to commission earned after the change, not retroactively. We will tell you by email before anything that affects what you earn takes effect.
